I have a full-time college student who did not receive the stimulus payments because I claimed him last year on my taxes. This year, if he files as his own and I don't claim him, he can potentially get the $1200 and $600 stimulus payments. However, he received a $800 payment from his college, which might be related to the CARES Act. Is he still eligible to get the remaining stimulus payments, and how does the college payment affect his eligibility?
