I need to fill out a W-4P. My husband passed away this year, and even though I can claim Married filing jointly for 2022, should I have them deduct taxes on the W-4P as if I am single since I will be single starting in 2023?

A couple, who recently got married in February 2022, bought a house together years ago and own it 50/50 on the mortgage. They are filing single for 2021, and the husband paid the mortgage interest in 2021. The husband also has a solar credit in his name. Can the full mortgage interest be credited to the husband's return, or should it be split 50/50 according to their ownership percentage? Will this decision affect their tax situation next year when they file jointly?

I am on disability and receive about $21,000.00/year, plus another $13,000.00/year from workers' compensation. I am looking for information on additional financial assistance, particularly for rent and utilities, as I am currently behind on rent and have accumulated a balance of around $4,000.00. Are there any governmental programs or stimulus payments that could help me with these expenses?
