I received a letter from the IRS about Form 941. Our business owes $904.93 in penalties. I have been trying to contact the IRS by phone but have not received a response. I reconciled our business through QuickBooks in December and realized there were outstanding transactions for payroll taxes that were electronically sent from QuickBooks via EFTPS. However, the IRS rejected all our checks. I had to delete the rejected checks, change my password for EFTPS, and redo all the checks. Why didn't the IRS send a letter informing us that they rejected our electronic checks or EFTPS?
