I received a letter, Notice CP80, stating I have a credit on my account for $1,438.00, which was the amount I paid for my 2020 Federal Income Tax. The IRS cashed my check, but claims I haven't filed my 2020 Taxes. The check was in the same envelope as my 2020 Tax filing. Have they lost my filing, and do I need to resend a copy? What is the current status, and will I get into trouble if I don't refile?

I'm having trouble getting my federal tax return to go through, and all I need is my GIC from last year's taxes. I have an IRS account and an H & R Block account set up. I'm located in LA, 60 years old, with no dependents, and I think I file as head of household. I've already filed online but keep getting rejected.
