I started a new job in 2020 and need help figuring out how to file state tax returns. I am a New Jersey resident, employed by a staffing agency (TekSystems) with my W-2 listing NJ as the state and a NJ state Employer ID. However, the work I am contracted to do is for the City of New York. Do I need to file a New York state return?

My 2021 tax return was accepted on February 26th, 2021, but the status bars disappeared in mid-March, and there have been no updates since. I filed with TurboTax and have not received any assistance from them. Additionally, I discovered that I did not file $2700 in earned non-employee funds in 2016, and I sold my home below value in 2018, but taxes were paid at the time of sale. What should I do to resolve this issue and track my refund?

I didn’t receive my $1400 check from the American Rescue Plan. I would like to know if it was direct deposited or sent by mail. I am 80 years old, receive Social Security and retirement benefits, and live at 320 E Stocker St number 205, Glendale, CA.
