I received an auditor’s report on three years of tax returns that did not accept any business expenses and converted them to standard deductions, resulting in an amount due, along with significant interest and penalties. This seems unfair. What are my options?

My husband owns a C corporation since 2017 and has generated business and filed taxes, but didn't take any money out as a salary. Now, the IRS is asking for income proof in 2019 to show he was part of the workforce, which he doesn't have. He filed for PUA and was receiving it in 2020 and 2021. Is this legitimate enough to prove his eligibility for PUA?
