I want to elect C corp status for my LLC, which was created on June 29th. I want to know if I can file Form 8832 and have the C corp election effective for the 2020 tax year. When do I have to file the form by, and what would be a valid reason for not filing it on time?

When dissolving a C Corp and issuing a 1099-DIV for the liquidation dividend to shareholders, should this be reported on the 1040 Schedule B as a qualified dividend or on Schedule D as a long-term capital gain?
