If I withdraw $17,000 from my wife's IRA, which would total $17,000 for this year, would I pay capital gains or any other penalties on all or any portion of that withdrawal? We live on Social Security and I get $1,000 per year pension. We live in Florida.

I only worked two months out of the year and am a full-time student. I received financial aid and $7,000 in student loan money. I have two children in private school and receive $300 a month from public assistance. Should I file taxes, and will I need tax information to file for financial aid for 2007?

I had a W-2 where I paid to go to college and tried to file it in January 2005, but they told me they couldn't use it to bring it back the next year. Last year, in January 2006, they again told me they couldn't use it. I filed at H&R Block. Is there any way I can use it this year?

I did not file my taxes for 2004 and I received W-2 forms from North Carolina and South Carolina (I worked in both states that year, but I live in South Carolina). How do I go about filing that?

Can I take the child tax credit if I make over $129,000?

How should I file my taxes? My husband made $102,000 and I made $11,000 last year. We have three kids. We only get back around $3,000, which doesn't seem right.
