Is it typical protocol for the IRS to leave a message on an answering machine without identifying that they are looking for a specific person? If not, why do the men who answered my call act so rudely if they are representatives of the IRS? Why could they not just answer my questions about the legitimacy of the call I received before I offered any of my personal information? If I am being audited, what do I do next?
