Is there still an earned income credit available, and if so, how do I determine if I qualify? My filing status is single, I am 67 years old, and my AGI is $14,700. I have no dependents, and my investment income is $10,000 or less.

I need copies of my 2021, 2020, and 2019 state tax returns. I have never paid NY State tax before as I am retired and my source of income is my New Jersey state pensions and social security. Why am I now paying tax?

On my tax transcripts, there is a sentence that states any minus sign shown below signifies a credit amount. Does that mean I am getting the money with a minus sign by it? For example, the total amount is 13,990 federal, but it says -9262 to earn income credit, and at the very bottom it says refund issued 4728. Does that mean I'm getting 4728 or am I credited 9262 on top of the 4728?

I am 83 years old and living in senior apartments. I just found out that our manager lost my 2023 Social Security Benefits copy, which is needed for the rent sheet. I am unable to access my online 'My Social Security' account due to difficulties with remembering multiple numbers and passwords. What are the steps to obtain a new copy of my Social Security Benefits Letter, and is there a charge for this service?
