My 2022 tax return was rejected. I used TurboTax to file and would like to continue using them. What could be the reasons for the rejection and how can I resolve it?

I haven't filed my taxes and realized the deadline was incorrect. I spoke with a local tax worker who suggested sending an arbitrary payment but then went on vacation. I don't have all the necessary documents to complete my taxes at the moment. Can I send the IRS a $3000-$4000 check with an explanation, and how do I specify the year it applies to?

If I get health insurance in the state of California, am I considered a California resident for tax purposes? My main residence is in Florida, and I'm in California temporarily. I am 34 years old, married filing jointly, and have no dependents. I don't know my income yet.
