My husband and I are both 66 and we both have worked and get retirement from social security. Will one of us lose 50% of our social security amount when we retire? Additionally, can my husband continue with his sole proprietorship business and get social security benefits?

I donated $20,000 for my daughter's rehab since her insurance would not cover it. Is this tax deductible and would it be considered medical?

If I sell inherited farm land in the 4th quarter of the year, can I wait until April 15th to pay my capital gains taxes, or do I have to pay on January 15th with my estimated tax? I don't want to have a late penalty if I wait until April 15th.

I have a problem with filing my stepkids on my tax return as dependents. My wife's sister has been filing them for the last 3 years, and I haven't received any tax benefits. I am head of household and have proof that the kids stayed under my household, including school records and social service paperwork. I need assistance in proving that I am owed money from the IRS for those years and resolving this issue.

I am an owner of a single-member S-Corp (IT consultant) and a multi-member LLC (Transportation Domain). I haven't paid myself any salary from my S-Corp this year and expect a net income of $100k. I also need to contribute $40k from my S-Corp to my multi-member LLC for a capital investment (buying a truck). What is the best way to handle payroll, 401k contributions, and the transfer of funds for this investment, and how does Section 179 and bonus depreciation work in this context?
