My mother lives in Florida and is considering maintaining two residences, with a second one in Pennsylvania. Would she end up paying taxes in both states? Would she pay taxes on interest income and social security? She is fully retired at 76 years old and a widow.

My husband and I filed jointly for the tax year 2020 and paid a balance of $1,710.88 to the IRS on 12/16/2021. However, we received notices dated 1/3/2022 stating that we still owe $1,715.80. I checked my bank statement, and the payment was made. Do we need to pay again, or can we disregard these notices?
