I discovered that I can carry my brother as a dependent since I have taken care of him within the last 5 years. He’s now 61 years old and hasn’t worked due to a handicap. Can I go back 5 years and add him? I am paying back taxes as of now. Which state are you in? What's your primary source of income at this time? I am in Texas.
