We have a rental property that we use for personal use more than 14 days a year. Our deck collapsed and had to be replaced. While it was being replaced, we stayed onsite to pick a contractor, materials, etc., and to supervise the replacement. Do you know if the days that we were there in order to complete the replacement of the deck count as personal use days? The improvements are for both personal benefit and benefit to the rental business.
