On the IRS website from January 2022, it stated that capital gain distributions from mutual funds should be considered as long-term capital gains regardless of how long you've owned the shares. However, on my 1099-DIV, there are net short-term capital gain distributions included in box 1a Ordinary Dividends. Is this incorrect according to what the IRS site says?

We are an S Corporation. I've always done our taxes using H&R Block software. A question that I can't find an answer to is about the K-1. It says to check the box if the Corporation has Aggregated activities for section 465 at-risk purposes. We do have at-risk purposes, I've established that. But aggregated means a group of people or companies. We are only one company. Does this apply to us?
