What is the value of these bookends and what were the notches on the back used for?

I have two Canadian Masters Art Card Series prints titled 'Before the Bath' and 'After the Bath' with stock numbers 9693 and 9690 respectively. They are framed between glass with a narrow lead frame and are in very good condition with no discolouration. I also have other Paul Peel framed and matted smaller prints, including one of 'After the Bath' and another of two naked kids behind a screen with an older woman beckoning to them. These are about 3"x3" and are also framed the same way except they are matted. Could you help determine their worth?

I have a collapsible chair that my grandfather acquired during his travels as an officer in WW1. It is known as 'The Chinese Chair' and is made from a hard black wood, possibly ebony, with dragon carvings on the arms and ornamental fretwork on the backrest. The seat and back have original thin leather padding. One of the legs was broken during a move and, though repaired, it should not be sat in until further expert repairs are made. I would like to know if the chair still has any value after this breakage.
