I found a locket, a small old book, and a very old beaded purse together in a box from my inheritance. The items are associated with my grandmother Laura and baby Annie, who died of scarlet fever in 1887. The locket is set in Sterling and was tied to a brooch with a pink silk ribbon. The book is titled “Lift up Your Hearts” and is copyrighted 1885, with a handwritten date of September 1887. The note accompanying these items is very small and falling apart. I find these memento mori photos of deceased children very unsettling. Have you seen anything like this, and do people collect these items?

I have an Eldridge “C” sewing machine and table with a specific serial number. I’m trying to find out how much it is worth. The table is not in great condition, but the sewing machine is.

I have a 4-panel screen that I inherited from my grandmother who passed in the early 70s. I'm unsure of its age but believe it was acquired by my grandfather before 1956. The screen has been moved three times in 50 years and appears pristine. I'm interested in knowing its value and how to auction it off if it has value.
