I have a china dog that is supposed to be from the 1870s, possibly a pug. It is about 6" tall, with white and reddish-brown markings, a black nose, long ears, and a yellow collar. There is a tiny hole on the back, but it appears to be from when it was made. How do I get it appraised?

I was wondering if this painting by Edna Palmer Engelhardt is worth anything? It shows a covered bridge with a woman and little girl walking towards it or away from it, and it is signed. The painting is roughly 24” x 36” and is on a hard substrate material like wood or something.
