I purchased a mahogany slant front desk said to be from Massachusetts, reportedly owned by a Naval captain. I have a question about the drawer pulls, which feature a crown on an anchor. Would this signify that the naval officer was British? Additionally, I would like to know if there are any indicators that could suggest whether the desk was made in the UK or colonial America.

I have a pair of vintage Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Hexagonal lidded Ginger Jars that were purchased as antiques from India, China, Japan, and Thailand in late 1955. One of the jars has damage on the top rim and lid. I have the old sea crate inventory invoice but no photos of the bottoms.
