I have a desk that was my mother's and is in excellent condition. I believe it is from the late 1800s from Europe. It has two pull-out leather top side extensions in excellent condition and a center drawer that I have removed for leg room. What is the value of this desk and where can I sell it?

I recently purchased a bamboo fly rod made in the late 20's/early 30's with an engraving stating 'From W.F. Sheard - Livingston, Mt'. The previous owner mentioned it was given to his grandfather, the chauffeur of Mr. Sheard, as an appreciation gift. What is the value of this rod, and does the story and engraving add any value?
