I am interested in purchasing a painting but cannot see it in person, only through a picture. I can't tell if it's an original or a print. It's a private auction on a Facebook page. Could you help me determine its authenticity and value?

I would like an evaluation of an oil painting. I have photos. I inherited the painting and do not know its history. There is no signature, and it appears to be oil on board (possibly masonite). It is framed in a period frame with brown paper on the back, so I cannot view the back of the painting itself. I have tried to research the subject of the portrait, thinking he might be an important figure from the 1900s, but I have not found anything. I have attached additional photos as requested, including the back and any signature. What can you tell me about this painting and its potential value?

I am planning to purchase a Berkey & Gay 9-piece dining set from Craigslist. The current owner indicates it dates from the early 1900s. I have attached pictures of the table, chairs, china cabinet, and buffet. What can you tell me about the set's history, value, and any specific markings or features I should look for to verify its authenticity and date?
