I have a hand-carved and painted gold gilt picture frame with a portrait of a lady. The frame measures 24" by 28" by 3" deep, with a visible portion of 15.5" x 19.5". The canvas portrait has a tear in the center, and the frame has a chip on the bottom left. My mother left it to me, but she didn't know its history, other than it being in her family for years.
