I have a table spoon that I suspect is American silver. It has two stampings on the rear: 'SD' inside a shield and a 'T' inside a circle with a barrel through the vertical part of the 'T'. It is engraved with initials and the date 1685. Can you help me identify the maker?

I have a lighted corner china hutch with two upper glass doors, a middle drawer, and two solid doors at the bottom. The upper section has two glass shelves. In the middle pull-out drawer, it is stamped with 'Virginia House'. I've had it for about 25 years and bought it from an auction, so I don't know the exact age. I have been trying to find the value of it and its approximate age. Can you help?
