I have an embroidered piece that is around 3 ft high by 2 ft wide, stitched on either canvas or cloth. The name on the back was 'estate,' and I got this from someone whose parents had owned it. What is the origin and value of this piece?

My mother passed away last August, and in her attic, I found a doll I remembered seeing at my great-grandmother's when I was small. The story goes that my grandmother (born 1886) and her sister bought the doll for their mother with the first money they made at the beginning of the 1900s. It is a bisque doll, hollow, seated with a bowl in one hand and a spoon in the other. It is all bisque, complete with bisque clothing and hair. It has a very sweet expression on her face. That is all I know about it except that it needs cleaning and one leg needs to be placed back on her. The two pieces are there, and it is a clean break. Any help or information is appreciated.
