I have several pieces of artwork, including an artist's proof, that I cannot identify due to unreadable signatures. I would like to know their value, especially since some are custom framed and others are vintage. What steps can I take to determine their value, and what factors should I consider?

I have four sets of dishes: an eight-place set from Lochs of Scotland (Loch Creran), a four-place set from The Cades Cove Collection, a four-place set of Europa fine china, and a four-place set of Oven Fire King ware. These sets were passed down through my family. I would like to know the worth of each set. The dishes have names on them, and I believe they are quite old.

I have a gold ring inherited from my great, great aunt who lived in England. The hallmarkings include JWB, a crown, 18, a cat head, and an S.
