I have two small plates that do not feel or sound like bone china and are mono-colored with charming old images that appear to be printed or transfers rather than painted. On the reverse, they show marks of the border on the top of the plate transferring to the base when stacked. They are different from anything else I've ever seen and were in my grandmother's belongings. What are these plates and where can I sell them?

Does the book "Jude the Obscure" from Harpers, dated 1895, in excellent condition, have any value? The book is not a first edition and has been passed down from my husband's grandparents, with the cover and binding in great condition, no torn pages, just some age discoloration.
