I live in Vancouver, Canada. I have inherited a small ring which came in an envelope saying “Sir John Mill....Battle of Marston Moor. ...1644? 1066? A variety of rustic looking gems surround what looks like an agate with something similar to a fern imbedded. I imagine it was a pinky ring. Family history tells of The Milleaux sp? Or Mill Family left France with William of Orange. Unfortunately, in the 1940s my grandmother had a new backing put on it so she could wear it. Firstly, my interest is the age and secondly an estimate of worth for insurance. Age, insurance valuation and any peripheral information, thanks!
