I recently bought a silver tea service marked ".925" and "hecho in Mexico." It's heavy, but after an acid test, it turned green, indicating it's not real silver. I want to know if this is a common problem with vintage pieces from Mexico and how to avoid making this mistake again.

I’ve inherited a print by E.O. O’Connell. I can’t find any information about the print or artist. The print is approximately 18” X 12” and has a newspaper backing from December 29, 1889, stating “Boston Sunday Globe.” It also mentions being published by Fishel, Adler & Lohwartz - New York.
