I recently bought an oil painting on canvas that is purported to be by Lev Feliksovich Lagorio. The signature appears to be 'Aa(ropis?)' and the painting features seascapes, ships, and water, which are consistent with Lagorio's known works. However, the signature's style and the use of red paint for the signature are not consistent with known examples of Lagorio's signatures. What is the authenticity of this painting, and where can I get it properly authenticated?

Do all Stickley and Stickley Brothers furniture have a decal, label, or distinguishing marks to identify them? I am purchasing a home from 1914 that the sellers claim is original Stickley style furniture that they want to sell with the home, however none of the furniture has any identifying labels. Only a few pieces have a written number that appears to be white crayon. How can I verify if the furniture is Stickley Brothers without a label or signature, and is there a reference catalog or website I can use?

I have a pair of marble bookends that are approximately 6" wide x 6" deep x 9" tall. They appear to be made of two different kinds of marble (possibly one is alabaster) and each weighs about 4 pounds. They are hand carved and feature men reading. The tag on the back indicates they came from a store in Spain. Who are the men depicted, and what is the value of these bookends?
