I recently unpacked many old items belonging to my grandmothers and mother, including stamps, coins, old postcards, lamps, needles, WW II items sent home by my dad, and many other items such as Look Magazine from the day Kennedy died and Flight From Dallas, as well as books from the turn of the century. How do I go about getting a fair market value for these items and who can I contact for assistance?

I'd like to know the era this piece came from, its value (retail and insurance), and the type of wood it is made from. It also has two shelves that are not pictured.

I have a 3-inch high statue of a World War 1 military soldier that is supposed to be very valuable. It was kept in a safe deposit box for 35 to 40 years. I don't know anything about it.

I have a miners safety lamp from the 1800s. It is a kerosene-fueled lamp with no stamping or ID, used to check for methane gas in coal mines. The lamp is 7 3/4" tall and predates carbide-fueled safety lamps. What is the value and history of this lamp?

I have an old metal box with a picture of a woman with a harp on top and a woman standing on a branch on the sides. It is marked 'Made in England'. I want to know if it is worth anything.

We were offered $5000 years back for our Indian beaded goods. Can you tell me how to go about listing them with a high-end auction? We thought they were worth $10,000.
