My builder has been refurbishing an apartment by channelling out walls for re-wiring. The lady in the adjacent apartment claims a decorative Limoges plate from around 1850 fell off her wall and broke into pieces. The builder denies causing the damage as he was not working on her wall. I have taken photos of the broken plate and received a quote of £200 to mend it. I cannot find a replacement for the plate, which is a Limoges decorative plate pompodour shoe in mustard color. The lady also has a matching plate in blue. The builder suspects she might be exaggerating the situation. What is the actual value of the plate, and what should I do next?

To accurately assess the value of the Limoges decorative plate, it would be helpful to see the marks...

I have an oil painting called 'A Day at Santa Anna' by George Merle Gilson, painted in 1965. It's in excellent condition, well framed, and brightly colored. I would like an appraisal on this item.

I have an old drop pendulum type wall clock. The dial has the mark 'eSj' with the large 'S' in between the 'e' and 'j'. The wood appears to be mahogany and is very ornate with etched glass door below the dial. The hands are a moon type cutout on the ends with only one winding key hole. Any idea who made this and when?
