My husband and I received an ancient Roman coin as a gift from a family friend. According to what we were told, it was discovered in a field near the Fiumicino Airport sometime in the 1940's. This coin was one of many discovered on that day. It appears to be made of some type of metal. On one side of the coin, it looks like the head of a Roman Emperor. On the reverse side, it looks like an archer. The coin is 1.25" in diameter and a little thicker than a $.25 piece. What is the coin and what is its value?
