I have an old carpet, a set of 4 chairs, and a mirror. I would like to know their approximate age and value. How can I get an appraisal for these items?

I just found a copy of “The Tale of Peter Rabbit” and I’m wondering if it’s valuable. I do not know how old it is, there is no printed date. It says “The Grolier Society Inc., New York” and “from the original edition published by Frederick Warne & Co.” It is bound with a linen-like cover and is in a bit rough condition, but intact with all illustrations and type undamaged.

I have a 12-place setting of Noritake China purchased in the 60's in Japan. The pattern appears to be Bessie #5788 stamped Noritake China with the N crest. The condition is excellent, like new, except for one small chip in a complimentary piece. What is the value of this set?
