What is the item in the attached photos and what is its value?

Do you appraise paintings? The painting is 41x52 cm, seems quite old, and is in the Romantic style. It is in excellent condition but has a couple of old patches on the back of the canvas. The painting is unsigned and appears to be from the Romantic period. It was most recently purchased in NYC in 1957 for an unknown amount (heirloom), and its provenance is unknown.

I have a 1935 piece that is very worn, and I'm wondering if it's the type of silver that's worth recycling for any value. Additionally, I have a teapot from the same company that is very heavy, so what is it made of if the silver is so thin?
