I am attempting to self-clean my electric oven but have been unsuccessful. I have tried using the self-cleaning button, setting the time, and adjusting the length of time, but the oven does not start the self-cleaning process. All the directions are located together on the vertical panel, with the oven, preheat, and door lock buttons centered on the panel. What could be the issue, and what additional steps can I take to troubleshoot this problem?

I have a GE Profile oven (model J2C968SEKSS) that is approximately 12 years old. Recently, the electrical breaker on our main panel tripped, and after resetting it, the oven takes a very long time to heat up. I suspect the lower heating element is not heating properly. Before I remove and replace the element, I want to know what the voltage and amperage should be for the line to the element to ensure the problem is with the element and not a resistor or circuit board.

My old modelCHE0800BCE stove has never given me a problem until recently. While baking, the F3 error code shows up after about 15 minutes. Is it possible to repair this? I love my stove, and everything else works fine. What happened just before the error code appeared was that I was baking brownies, and I had left the broiler on for a long period the day before. How long has this been going on with your oven? What have you tried so far? It just started. I called the number on my book, but the rep said no info because the stove was so old. I was advised to take the breaker in my electric box off for a few minutes and then turn it back on. I did this and tried to bake chicken, but after about 15 to 30 minutes, the F3 error appeared again. I turned the oven off, pressed cancel, and haven't tried again since.
