I have a 1980 cannister Electrolux (Squaw Valley Olympic Edition). The electric cord will no longer retract into the body. How do I open the body to clean the retractor mechanism? Can cleaning the mechanism resolve the problem? It will periodically partially retract (3-5 feet) but never fully retract.
