I have a 2000 top-loaded Kenmore washing machine. The back hose, where the cold water comes in, gets clogged with dirt and sand from the lake. I have to clean the hose filter at least once a week. Can I remove the hose filter without causing problems to the machine?

I have a Maytag Centennial washer. After one load of laundry, the locked lid light stays on, and the machine remains locked. Unplugging it and resetting does not resolve the issue. The locked lid light flashes and the mechanism activates several times before the light stays on solid. No other lights are on. What could be the issue and how can I fix it?

I have an LG top loader washing machine (model WT7700HWA) that is 2 years old and has a mold smell between the tub and the body of the machine. The mold is not inside the tub but on the outside where I can't access it. What can I do to resolve this issue?
