How do I read continuity on an internal bias thermostat on my Kenmore Model 110 electric dryer? The dryer runs but blows a fuse and doesn't heat. I have removed the heat element and it reads 9.6 ohms. The thermal fuse, thermo cut off, and 250-degree thermo all read 0. There are 4 posts on the thermostat, and I read zero on the top and bottom ones but nothing on the left and right ones. How should I reconnect the wires to the 250-degree thermo, and does it matter which post the red wire from the bottom goes to on the ceramic heat element connection?

I bought a used Jen Air Maytag JDS9860AAP stove and need to connect the 220-volt electrical line to the stove. Does it matter which side the hot and neutral wires go on, and there's a black wire hanging from the back of the stove that's connected. Where should the other end of this black wire plug in?

My gas dryer is not drying clothes properly, even though it heats and the exhaust is clear. I have to run it twice to dry clothes. I've tried two different gas dryers, both used, with similar issues. The first one, a GE Profile Large Capacity, would sometimes dry and sometimes not, with a low humming noise indicating it was trying to ignite but wouldn't. The second dryer takes up to 90 minutes to dry clothes. What could be the issue and how can I fix it?
