I have a Dacor ECD230 Double Oven. The upper oven will not heat on any cycle (bake, broil, or convection). I have performed the voltage tests for each cycle as outlined by Dacor and measured 240 volts for all of them. I have also checked and pushed the reset on the HTC switch, but it did not feel like it was tripped. While I had a bake cycle on, I attempted to measure across the HTC terminals, but my meter showed just stray millivolts. Should I be able to measure 240v across those terminals? Is a bad HTC the next step? Should I be looking at something else? Prior to the current situation, we had lost the convection cycle, and after replacing the element, we also lost bake. The dealer diagnosed a double fault on the upper relay board and said it needed to be replaced. I elected to replace it myself, but the issue persists.

I have a 4-year-old Kenmore top-loader washing machine, model 20112. The spinning sound is getting louder, and there are squeezing sounds when using the small load selection. Does this mean problems ahead that can be averted now, or should we wait until it quits working?
