I have a GE side-by-side refrigerator (model SSH25JFXNWW) with a non-working compressor. The only thing that works is the light. Is it the main controller board, and if so, will replacing it restore both the refrigerator and freezer functionality? Also, should I buy a rebuilt or new board, and can I unplug the fridge while I'm out of town without causing any issues?

Why did my Kenmore fridge's ice maker stop working? The water dispenser works fine, but no water goes into the ice maker. The fridge is 13 years old, and the water filter was replaced 2 months ago. The issue started 4 days ago, and I have tried unplugging the fridge and letting it thaw out. The fridge also started freezing everything until I reset the temperature of the freezer to 6 and the fridge to 48.
