I have a GE washer (model WCVH6600HGG) that is making a grinding noise while spinning counter-clockwise during the rinse cycle. This started about 10 loads ago and is now happening consistently. What could be causing this?

My 15-year-old Maytag dishwasher is leaking through to my basement. I noticed a wet spot on the ceiling tile and moved it to see where the leak was coming from, and it is dripping through the floor where the electrical wire runs to the electrical box. I purchased a new dishwasher but the plumber cannot install it for a few days. Since I am not using the dishwasher, I can't figure out what is causing the leak. I already checked my drain and it's dry. How can I stop the leak until the plumber can install the new dishwasher?

I have a GE Cafe gas stove with self-cleaning and gas lockout functions. When using these functions, there is a creaking sound from the gas valve, the display shows LOC (Lockout Control) flashing, and the stove becomes unresponsive. The only way to reset it is by unplugging and plugging it back in. A local technician found a dead micro switch on the oven door latch, but I don't believe this explains the behavior. What could be causing this issue and how can it be resolved?
