I have a Kenmore range where water got on the cooktop, causing a crackling noise, a small puff of smoke from the front control panel, and the oven turning on, which can only be turned off by unplugging. Did the water get in through a slight gap in the front seal, and what parts need to be repaired or looked at? Is it worth getting it serviced, or should I consider replacing the range?
