I have a KitchenAid downdraft vent system with model number KIRD862VSS. The vent is up and the fan is in, but it will not retract. I have taken out the filters, cleaned them, and returned them to the hood, but the issue persists. The manual mentions that this should activate the microswitch. What should I do to resolve this issue?

My Cabrio washing machine was off balance during the cycle. I pushed the 'Hold to Start' button expecting it to cycle down and the lid to unlock, but the lid has never unlocked. I used the 3-second button fix but it has not reset. Do you have any ideas?
