I have a Maytag 5000 Series electric dryer, about 5 years old, that has stopped heating but still turns. It was not working correctly on the normal drying setting for about a year but did OK on a timed dry, which we thought might be due to a faulty sensor. Now, it won't heat at all. What could be the problem and what is the estimated cost to fix it?

My Whirlpool dishwasher, model number GU1200XTLQ2, was not draining properly so I took it apart to clean it. After reassembling it, the control buttons will not light up or activate anything. I am a journeyman electrician with 30 years of experience and have checked incoming power and all the way through the door switches, which all check good. I have also verified that the fuse is good and that voltage is going through. What could be causing this issue and how can I resolve it?
