I have a new Whirlpool washing machine (model WTW5010LW0) that won't empty the water. It's only two weeks old, and I've tried turning off the power and restarting the cycle, as well as unplugging it and restarting. The machine was running a color cycle load when it stopped, and the lid was locked. After unplugging, we were able to open the lid and found a significant amount of water still in the machine. What could be the issue, and what should I do next?

We just moved to TN from MO and started our dryer. Within not even 3 minutes, it got really hot on the back and the inside smelled of something burning. The model number is *****. We had to change outlets due to the older home. What could be causing this issue and what should we check?
