I have a Roper by Whirlpool Corporation dryer that is about eight years old. I need to know how to correctly hook up a new 3-wire cord (red, black, and white) to the dryer's terminal block.

I accidentally wired my Whirlpool radiant glass cooktop incorrectly (white 'hot' wire 220 leg was attached to the white neutral wire on the cooktop). It lit up and buzzed for a few seconds, then went off and won't come back on. I have since rewired it correctly. Is there a protective circuit/fuse that can be replaced, or is the cooktop damaged beyond repair?

A 'Bed Buddy'—a sack of buckwheat used for muscle ache relief—overheated and burned in our Jennair microwave 1.5 days ago. The microwave works but the acrid smoke odor lingers and is intense when the microwave is turned on. Should the microwave be replaced or is there something that I can do to eliminate the strong odor? I used distilled vinegar and baking soda to clean the microwave after this happened.
