I have a Whirlpool washer Model No. WTW5000DW1 that is about 1 1/2 years old and has stopped working, specifically not spinning. The repairman diagnosed a bad main board and possibly worn gears. I am considering doing the repairs myself but need guidance on how to change the main board and gears, and also want to know the cost of these parts. Additionally, since the washer is outdoors in Hawaii, I am interested in recommendations for protecting outdoor washers or suitable models for outdoor use.

My electric range has one burner that only heats to high and has been broken for a couple of years. A technician suggested changing the knob, but I don't see how this could help. Additionally, a possible second burner is having the same problem. Do you have any thoughts on what might be causing this and what I should do to fix it?

My Maytag electric dryer buzzer will not stop when I close the door. The dryer cycle starts without the buzzer, but at the end of the cycle, the buzzer continues to buzz when the door is closed. When the door is open, there is no buzzer sound.
