I have a PT916B 30" wall oven. The oven is still receiving power and the clock is still displayed, but the control touchpad is no longer working. The only response to any button being selected is the oven beeps once when the "Clear/Off" button is selected. What has failed?

My Maytag stove oven CRG9700AAW is not maintaining the correct temperature. The oven indicates it's at the set temperature but is actually running low. I replaced the igniter, but the problem persists. The igniter glows bright red and the burner ignites, but it turns off after a few minutes. I have an older Rainsoft water softener installed in 1998. Recently, we forced a manual regeneration, and now it regenerates every night, even when there are still 700 gallons left. The light is on for regeneration in the morning. How can we turn this off to go back to normal regeneration? We have tried unplugging it, but it didn't help.
