I'm renting a home with a pair of Samsung washer/dryers, just one year old. The dryer has started to not work well and doesn't have hot air coming out much, sometimes showing a code OD. The vents are clear, and this was a sudden problem. Is this possibly a big and/or expensive problem, and is it reasonable that the warranty doesn't cover this after only one year?

The OD code indicates excessive dry time. If there isn't much air coming out of the back of the unit...

My GE side-by-side refrigerator, which is 9 years old, is no longer keeping cold on the refrigerator side. The freezer seems to be working fine, but the refrigerator, now set at #9, is only cooling to 56 degrees. Do I need to call a repair person, or is there something else I should do or check first?
